Pimples are the result of your pores becoming clogged with excess oil (sebum), bacterial waste, or other material like small dirt particles. The pores all over your body have sebum-producing glands called [sebaceous glands](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebaceous_gland). These glands are more prevalent in the face and scalp (and non-existent on the palms of hands and soles of the feet). Since the face has more sebaceous glands, you have a higher chance of developing pore blockages in that area.
