1. reptiles produce a lot of offspring at once, so statistically, reptiles are more likely to be born with two heads.

2. reptiles are extremely sensitive to the environment – its eggs are no different. any changes in environment that make the environment not conducive/optimum will affect the development of the babies in the eggs.
