Why are some games/videos blocked on certain countries ?

For videos it’s usually to do with liscencing rights. Like NBC has exclusive rights in the US, but the BBC has exclusive rights to the same content in the UK. Because both put it online, they have to make sure their content is inaccessible from outside their territory.
Basically legal bullshit.
