Why are the most common side effects dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth etc.?

Purely anecdotal, but I and my daughter experience headaches and nausea during periods of swings in barometric pressure. It isn’t the pressure level itself, but a swift rise or drop will give us headaches and nausea.
