Why are there mirrors that from the inside you can’t see the outside, but from the outside you can see the inside?

since you’re asking “why…” and so far the responses are more along the lines of “how…”:

because sometimes you have situations where you dont want the people on one side see the ones on the other side.

this is the case for:

– the police (if they interview someone and want the victim to get a look on that suspect for example)

– clinical/product studies (the participants behave differently if they see the observers)

– pretty much any company that has groundlevel-offices and doesnt want passersby to just see what their employees are working on.
