Why are we not used to waking up early?

Recently I have finished school and I’ve realised that most of my life since I was 4, I’ve been waking up at 6/7 am and I was just thinking why our body isn’t used to waking up early assuming you’ve had a good night sleep.

I live next to a stream. I go to bed around nine and am usually asleep by ten. The first birds start chirping a little before sunrise. By 7:00, they’re cacophonous. I’m usually up by 6:30, at the latest.

As others have said, the problem isn’t so much when we wake up, it’s when we go to bed. Our evolution didn’t account for artificial light and things to do that keep us entertained until several hours after the sun goes down.
