Why can saying a word repeatedly eventually feel weird, like, it isn’t a real word or feel like it you’ve never heard it before?

I always figured it’s because pretty much all reality is meaningless when we deconstruct it. When we repeat a word over and over, eventually the thought behind it goes away and all we have are phonetics, and the feeling of producing sounds.
