You absolutely can. Typically you will lose some muscle when cycling off just because your body has different muscle retention tolerances naturally, but you can absolutely keep most of what you gained if you continue to eat, lift, and recover properly. Especially if what you built was something you could have naturally achieved, but then again, why would you roid for a 225lb bench in the first place?

Steroids are hormones that effect your body. They also damage your bodies ability to make more naturally.
Once you get off you can’t make enough to maintain the level they were at before so you lose muscle.

A couple of things. Once you get buff I’ve heard it is possible to stay that way while on steroids. But the thing is you need the right type of steroids and they are expensive. So once you can’t afford them anymore and stop taking them the body very quickly will lose the muscle and the drive to keep working out as hard since steroids actually effect the brain as well.

I believe there is some body builders out there that have the money and resources that actually keep it up for many years but as soon as they stop they lose energy, recover way worse and are subject to much more injuries since steroids also help with muscle recovery.

If you get on steroids. Hit 225 on the bench and then stop. Chances are your muscles will be weaker. You will get hurt. You can’t work out as hard since your hurt so by the time you go back to bench 225 you can’t since you haven’t worked out and chances are you can get hurt again slowing down the whole process even more. Probably a few things wrong here but since this is eli5 I’m just giving a simplified answer.

I’m going to ignore your terrible grammar and obvious lack of sense regarding your question.

Steroids are far more common than you think. What set apart a steroid from other chemicals is that it has a chain of 17 carbon atoms that form a ring like structure. Your body produces steroids. Testosterone is one of them. That’s also the most common steroid used in bodybuilding.

To bench 225, you do not need steroids. If you’re considering that, you have no business using steroids, and don’t understand fitness and nutrition. Learn more. Use your brain. Figure out your goals. If they can be achieved without steroids, do that.

To answer your question tho, steroids pull water and glycogen in huge amounts into your muscles. They also provide your body with the capacity to utilize more protein for recovery, and give your body the capacity to grow beyond what would normally be considered a genetic limit. Your muscle doesn’t just go away after you stop working out. Not for a really long time. Your muscle cells just don’t have the glycogen in them afterward. And steroids pull a ton of glycogen into your muscles, so if you stop, your body won’t be able to pull that amount of glycogen in. Glycogen is used as fuel for your muscles, and comes from carbs. So if you don’t have enough of it to facilitate your workouts, they’re not gonna be as good. If 225 is your goal, and you get that way with excess fuel, without the excess fuel, you’re not gonna be able to do it. Besides that, 225 is not a high enough goal to warrant the use of steroids. Plenty of people end up benching 315 without the use of steroids as well. Reconsider if your goal is only 225.

You can, though the transition off of them can be rough for some people and you will lose some size and strength pretty much regardless of what you do, even with hcg and ancillaries. There is also the matter of your connective tissue not keeping pace with your muscle growth so injuries are more likely to happen.
