Why do babies cry so much and how do they not lose their voice? Can a baby hear how loud they are crying?

Just to be clear, I don’t have kids, I’m just curious.

Babies typically cry because something is wrong, and they get frustrated. Their bodies are super malleable, and growing rapidly.

Teaching a baby/toddler sign language can alleviate a lot of crying, because it allows them to communicate.
