Why are there always bots posting “message me Trust In God and I’ll send you $5,000” or whatever on social media? Are these just money scams or what else are they getting out of this?

Pretty much just scams, either for money or identity info.
Think about it; if you send a somewhat enticing message to a gigantic quantity of people, eventually some people are gonna fall for it and give you money effectively for free.
99.9% of people will ignore it, but doing automated posts are cheap and for the 0.01% that fall for it, you can make money. Scammers have done some pretty good optimization on how to find people likely to fall for their scams. Watch Kitboga on Twitch and Youtube if you want to see the inner workings of such scams; he acts as vulnerable old people which are common targets and can get scammers to spend hours to days trying to get money from him. Of course, he has various fake websites to make it look like he’ll send money but never does.
They are intentionally obviously scams to filter out observant people and only attract extremely vulnerable or gullible people.
