Why do bubbles form around the edge of a glass of water that’s left out for a little while?

Water looks like it’s got nothing in it, but it’s actually full of stuff, including gasses that have disolved into the water. When the water sits, the gas that has dissolved in the water is released and makes little bubbles that collect on tiny little imperfections in the glass.
