Why do burns grow with infants that were severely burned?

I always thought they would stay small, but from what I’ve seen, if someone’s entire face was burned as a baby, it will be entirely burnt as an adult too

Think about it: when a cheek, or a finger, or a leg grows, the new skin covering it has to come from somewhere. The most reasonable way to grow more skin is to expand all skin as evenly as possible. This means that scars and other marks on the skin expand as well.
