A frog would probably find it difficult to travel thousands of miles across continents.

Seriously though it’s a product of evolution, it’s whatever suits that particular species best.

Migrating is easier if you are an animals that can easily cover large distances.

Birds fly. Frogs jump.

For a frog traveling intercontinental distance just wouldn’t be feasible.

Also birds have a very fast metabolism and little fat in order to be able to fly, they couldn’t do the bear trick or just getting fat and holing up somewhere or the frog trick of freezing or even the trick of their close cousin the crocodileans where they go into brumation.

Frogs can’t exactly travel thousands of miles to get away from the cold.

Birds can. That’s kind of a huge perk of being a bird.
