Basically evolution. They find the tissues that fill their needs, fixed on their genomes. Small pulls sums up to very specific places, in very specific animals. Flat worms eggs that find their selves in a human instead of a pig migrate to not viable places. Sadly sone go to the brain or eyes oe lungs, and can be worst than the adult worm.

The same reason certain species of plants or animals reside in specific biomes and ecosystems. They have a particular survival strategy that involves a particular process in the human body.
