Why do children get attached to inanimate objects?

The same reason adults do. They provide emotional comfort for them. You’re telling me you don’t think that men getting super-attached to their cars or women to their purses or bags or whatever aren’t doing the exact same thing that children are doing? They’re seeking emotional comfort in an imperfect and non-comforting world.
