Why do games have invert color options? Is there a colorblindness for that?

It’s for two reasons,

a) just inverting the colours makes it easier to deal with colour blindness because you don’t have to figure out WHAT colour blindness that your user has. There are different sorts, depending on which colours you cannot tell apart. Inverting is not a foolproof fix for this, but it sort of works.

b) if the usual user interface is dark on a brighter background, it may be easier for users with some specific sight deficiencies to instead have a dark background with brighter content on it. It works considerably better for people who are near-blind and navigate by contrast.

Yes and no. It’s mainly because some screens work like shit when it comes to displaying some color palettes in overly lit and/or overly dark areas.
