Many LED lights are a rapid strobe, not a continuous beam, undetected by the human eye. This is to preserve energy and keep heat (a byproduct of light) low. Car cameras typically capture at around 30 frames per second; as a result, we can see the “off” moments in the strobe sequence on our camera screens.
