Why do some Western trailers from films differ from eastern? (not language, scene wise)

So heres the deal. I was watching the trailer for “Lupin the third: the first” and It was the dubbed version for the trailer, however, when I found the original Japanese one, some scenes were different.

I thought this would be a one-time thing, but I was watching the trailer for Turning red, and the release for japan had different scenes than the US and the rest of the world trailers.

So why does this happen?

Because different cultures are interested in different things. American media is all about action and heroics. In Japan, for example, they may be more focused on the mystery aspect of the movie and will show scenes to reflect that. I can’t speak for this specific movie however
