Why do stationary objects make whooshing noises when you drive by them?

It’s the sound of your car reflecting off of them. A car driving at a decent clip has engine noise (unless it’s an EV) and the sound of the tires on the road. When you drive past things, it reflects much more noticeably back at people in the car so it sounds like the objects themselves are wooshing.
