My guess would be that since it’s good for your body, you’ve evolutionarily come to find it to be a pleasant feeling. If something feels good to do you (generally) are supposed to do it for some evolutionary reason.

Stretching – It increases blood flow to the muscles, which brings them oxygen and other things they need to be healthy, so it feels good.

Yawning – Yawns usually happen when your breathing is slow and shallow, because you’re tired. The carbon dioxide (bad part of the air) that you would normally exhale doesn’t get pushed out all the way when you’re breathing like that, so it builds up in the bottom of your lungs. When your body feels that happening, it makes you yawn in order to push the air way out of the deep part of your lungs and take in a new fresh deep breath.

Yawning lets more oxygen into the body. The extra oxygen goes to your blood and your brain which helps you operate better
