Why do they mostly use actors in their late 20s or early 30s to play teenage roles in movies/ tv series? Couldn’t they use teenage actors instead?

I would also believe if the movie or show will continue over multiple seasons or years you will have less deviation in the actors looks. You never know how a 15 yr old actor will age by season 3 but have a pretty good idea how a 22 yr old will looks
