On top of the other good answers here…if something like milk or food-grade liquids are being transported, there is an additional impression of high sanitationcleanliness that you get with polished stainless steel surfaces. It’s all over the place in food preparation areas because it cleans up and disinfects well (and looks good), so there is a well-deserved sanitary connotation to it.
