Doing a daily rinse of hydrogen peroxide will help the healing process a lot. Just do not gurgle or swallow.

Regardless of how often you brush/floss, your mouth is teeming with bacteria. This certainly slows down the healing process because you’re constantly fighting infection.

Your mouth also experiences constant use: if you cut your hand you can get by using the other hand but you only have one mouth and it gets constant use throughout the day so the wound never gets a break to heal.
