The “smoke” from vapes is propylene glycol and glycerin. The vapes with lots of “smoke” have a lot of glycerin in the solution.
Bigclivedotcom has a few videos on how smoke machines and vapes work.
[Here is a video of how smoke machines and vapes work](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5QtGerJ_tI) this is quite a long video.
Vapes and smoke machines use the same technology, vapes are just smaller.
Same reason that a hit from a vape usually contains a lot more nicotene than the equivalent hit from a cigarette. When you take a drag from a cigarette, youre talking about straight up burning plant matter, its combustion. Its at a much higher temperature, and if you try to take a huuge cigarette drag, you’ll burn the hell out of your throat. Vapes “vaporize” the e-liquid at a much lower temperature. Thats why youre able to take so much more into your lungs, and release much more vapor. As a result (and this also depends on the nicotene content of your juice) you also typically have more nicotene in that hit.
Hope that clears it up!
