Constipation is the result of your lower intestines sucking all the liquid out of your poop before it exits your body, resulting in a hard and non lubed log, so it’s an issue that’s a lot deeper than just eating something your body isn’t cool with processing.

Constipation has a few causes. Some of them are….

Stool passing too slowly through the intestines causing the body to absorb to much water and making the stool hard and difficult to pass.

Not enough fiber in the diet. Fiber holds water in the stool making it softer and easier to pass.

Medications/drugs. Some medications and illegal drugs can cause constipation. Some cause the intestines to work slowly again making the body absorb water and making stool hard to pass.

Finally not consuming enough water. Dehydration can cause constipation since there is not enough water in the body to soften the stool.

Obviously eating anything not digestible can cause an impaction and create a blockage. A common example of this is hair, people who chew their hair are st risk of developing a blockage.
