Why do we have eyebrows?

A couple of reasons. First is that humans are pretty cool that we can sweat as an adaptation. Pun intended. Having brows helps wick sweat away from our eyes when overheating from either weather or physical activity. Next it is a sexual signal thing. Let’s be real people without eye brows are just not that sexy. Having good hair is a indication of health and if a person is healthy it makes them more likely to have healthy children so traits that signal health will be selected for. Finally they work as a way of communication. Humans rely insane amounts on facial expressions to communicate. Far more than any other animal. This means having more tools to communicate using our faces is useful. We have all seen women with poorly drawn on eye brows that make them constantly look shocked or moody. This communication makes cooperation and thus survival easier.

They keep water from obstructing your vision, like rain gutters that drain the water around your eyes instead of into them
