Our skin produces oil to help retain elasticity and aid in wound healing (among other things).

Some people produce too much (oily). Some people not enough (dry). Below is short extract from a journal explaining how our skin requires a 3:1:1:1 ratio of omegas/FFAs (fats) in our diets whilst optionally applied topically to our skin.

Hemp interestingly has “co-evolved” with humans – explained by Dr. Sunil K. Aggarwal who calls this humankind’s “evolutionary garden” — the collection of plants, fungi, and animal secretions that people have cultivated since prehistory.

Hemp seeds produce an oil which provide us with the perfect 3:1:1 ratio of omega-6 -3 -9 essential fatty acids, this matches the ratio recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for optimal health.

“application of a mixture of cholesterol, ceramides, and essential/nonessential free fatty acids (FFAs) in an equimolar ratio allows normal barrier recovery, whereas any 3:1:1:1 ratio of these four ingredients accelerates barrier (skin) recovery.”

Co-evolution with plants and animals takes a very long time utilizing give and take and ususally results in amazing benefits.
