– Why do we need sex hormones, and can we survive without them?

I feel like this question answers itself. Sex hormones are mainly involved in reproductive function and development, so we wouldn’t exist without them. These hormones also play a role in immunity and impact the body’s ability to heal and repair itself. If for whatever reason the body stopped producing these hormones, a person would still be able to survive, but I imagine they would be weaker as a result of not having them.
