Water is called the “universal solvent”, it can dissolve many molecules.
Water has a bunch of special properties too, like it is polar, which allows it to interact with and stuck to other molecules, or it can fill gaps between other substances and break them down, and then transport them around.
Basically without water our bodies can’t do the chemistry it needs. It can’t get oxygen dissolved into blood and transported around, or transport energy, etc.
