You’re standing in what I assume is hot water, which is going to make you hot. Presumably the room gets hotter as well from the steam. Then you take a towel and are basically doing the macarena to clean yourself off. That’s a lot of movement/being in the heat, and that’s going to make you sweat.

Adding on to this, someone already said hot shower means your body is gonna sweat because it’s hot. I also read that a cold shower will also make you sweat because your body heats up trying to warm up. Is there any way to actually cool off wtf

Take after strenuous exercise, your body temperature is elevated. You take a hot shower to clean and it raises your body temperature more. Then when you’re out of the shower your body continues to sweat to cool yourself off.

Same reason you do in a sauna or jacuzzi. You can actually dehydrate and get heat stroke if exposed for too long and too hot.

This is why I try a cold shower, even if only for the last few seconds of rinsing, right before stepping out and drying.

Also keeps the steam inside in check, you could immediately use the mirror.

Are you working out before? That’s probably why

Because the hot water, you sweat when exposed to heat, it won’t stop the second you step out of the shower

It’s like when you do physical exercise. Sweat is a natural way for your body to cool down. So when you get out of a shower and you’re still hot, your body will sweat to lower your body temp. It seems counter intuitive since the sweat itself may seem hot, but still the skin opening it’s pores will help cool you down.

I actually always turn the water down to not quite cold but not quite lukewarm either for a few minutes before I get out of the shower to get my body temperature down
