Our bodies tend to rotate when walking due to angular momentum. Our arms move in the opposite direction of our legs on the same side (left leg forward, right arm forward, etc.), which counteracts the momentum caused by our legs.

Well your legs and arms are off the center of mass. This causes a torque on your body as you swing your leg for a step. The swinging of your arms cancels out this force and makes you more stable. Try running with your arms stiff at your sides and you will see how unstable it makes your entire body.

Because it is natural as our body twist slightly feom side to side as we take each step. Essentially it makes it easier to hold the balance.
