Why does Boston robotics “abuse” the robots?

If you are referencing the video that’s going around with the robot tossing boxes, getting hit with things, and eventually “fighting back” that’s fake. Otherwise it’s machine learning for uncertainty which is basically taking what should be environmentally predictable parameters and adding variables to measure speed and efficacy of compensation. Think of it like a human surfing or skiing for the first time. Balance isn’t easy but we learn through experience.
