Your nerves are taking a second to tell your brain that you’ve been hurt.

Each one is composed of different fibers that send messages back to your brain in real time.

A delta fibers are like the messenger on the bicycle that can get there really fast and are usually the response to things like a burn or contact with chemicals.

C fibers are the messenger that has to go on foot and are the ones that respond to pain caused by blunt hits like stubbing your toe so they need an extra second.

There is basicly two pain sensations.

First one is cordinated by your spine.

Second is from your brain.

First one gives you the ability to tell that you are hurt and time to get away.Second one is for seeking medical treatment and for remembering you are hurt.

You can try it yourself pinch yourself with something a little sharp for example a pencil you will realise that the moment you pinch a sharp pain will going to get produced but after a second or two the burning continuous pain will start.
