Why does eating too much sugar may lead to diabetes?

For your body to use sugar, it needs to be broken down by insulin, which is made in the pancreas.
Type 1 diabetes: Body doesn’t make insulin, cant break down sugar.
Type 2 diabetes: This comes from the excess sugar consumption. Over time, insulin isn’t made as much or isn’t as effective as it would normally be, so it can’t really break down the sugar.
