Why does flavored carbonated water taste sweet?

When I drink a fruit flavored carbonated water like lacroix (that has no sugar) it taste sweet. Is this my brain associating fruit flavor with sweet? And yes I am sure these have no sugar.

I’ve asked this once before, and essentially the answer is that food manufacturers don’t have to list ingredients if theres a small enough amount of them.

Flavored fizzy waters have artificial sweeteners in them. Theres just very little, so they dont have to list it.
