Why does it seems like time goes by faster if you’re getting older?

this is just my opinion, but time seems to go by faster as you age because you’re comparing it to your whole life. A baby who has been alive for 8 hours literally feels the next 8 hours like an eternity since after the 8 hours, 8 hours would be half of its lifetime, this would explain why most kids are so impatient (or at least me)
