Other mammals have fur protecting their skin. However, marine mammals like whales and dolphins don’t and are indeed susceptible to sun burn if they spend too much time at the surface.

Animals do get sunburned if their skin is exposed. But most animals have a fur coating that prevents them from getting burned.
