I just scratched one accidentally and it reminded me how much it can hurt, it’s quite unbelievable how bad it hurts.

Because in a pimple you are having an inflammation going on. Some tissue is being affected (probably a very small infection of a pore) by this inflammation and a lot of molecules are released. Some of these molecules wake up the nerve endings in the area, so that area is way more sensitive. This is partially incidental and partially on purpose so that you don’t touch that area that is already in trouble and you don’t damage it even more
