Why does snot sometimes shoot out of a person’s nose when they laugh?

Usually happens when one’s nose is full of mucus and when one tries to hold in one’s laugh by shutting their mouth holes but also forgetting they have nose holes, the air has to escape somehow and if it has to displace your soft mucus or your tightly bound lips, the mucus will lose the battle. And with the air comes the mucus.

Some people can learn this habit of laughter however and run into this issue often. An ideal scenario to observe this would be to go to a funeral in the winter time and say some words (very funny jokes).
