Why does stretching feel so good?

Why when you wake up in the morning and hit that stretching “g spot”, when you stretch before a workout etc. Why does it feel so good?

Because your muscles have been still, possibly tensed in some position you were laying in & you’re moving them again.

Similarly, does anyone know why extending your legs on a bed feels so good? I felt like ny thigh and calf were clogged and immediately it is so relieving when i extend them

Sitting perfectly still can be bad for various reasons.

For the same reason it feels good to quench thirst, or satiate hunger, cool off when hot, warm up when cold etc…

It’s the conscious experience of evolution making you do something that benefits your survival.

If you want a deeper “why” well it’s the reward system in your brain rewarding all those things.
