That is the iconic picture of the Chinese military response to protests in Tiananmen square in [1989](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Tiananmen_Square_protests). Particularly interesting because it shows the reluctance of soldiers to harm…which may be more troubling to authorities than the protest (imagine….you can’t trust your fist to smash). It is certainly [band in China](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Band_in_China). I have never seen it removed on reddit unless it was part of a post that clearly broke subreddit rules. If you have examples, please compile them as that would be political censorship…something we are not supposed to have here. The best way to track removed posts is through comments you make…your comments remain in your profile with the OP even if it is removed.
The Tiananmen Square protests were student-led demonstrations calling for democracy, free speech and a free press in China. They were halted in a bloody crackdown, known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre, by the Chinese government on June 4 and 5, 1989.
It gets taken down a lot because it makes China look bad and guess who has investments on Reddit and Instagram
