You don’t have to. Growing up, my friends made fun of me because I didn’t eat mine like an apple (bite into the whole fruit and toss out the core). Mango skin causes some people allergic reactions but they can eat the flesh of the fruit fine. Also taking the skin off takes the part of the fruit exposed to pesticides
