Why does water go to our nose

I don’t drink through my nose so why do I vomit through my nose? Is my nose broken?

Because your mouth and your nose are connected. [Look at this image](https://media.sciencephoto.com/image/p4960019/800wm/P4960019-Nose,_mouth_and_throat.jpg). You can see that your nose and mouth basically merge into a single cavity at the back of your throat. Since they share a common opening, anything that goes in or comes out of one can go in or come out of the other.

If you Google nasal cavity anatomy you can see a diagram of the big hole that’s in your face. It’s all connected! I am a visual learner so it’s good to see a picture of it!

Think of it like a rush of water right? If you vomit it’s bring regurgitated at an usually speed. So if it’s too much or too fast it’s going to go everywhere if nothings there to stop it

No. Behind your face is basically an open cavity. So anything that has nowhere else to go will find it’s way out, basic principle of any liquid.
