why does water taste sweet after throwing up?

is it a biological thing to make you drink more water because you’re probably dehydrated? how does that work?

Im guessing here, but you throw up acid and water is neutral, so compared to acid it tastes sweet?

Because vomit is bitter and acidic, which pretty much overloads the taste buds.

So the only available ones when you drink water is the sweet receptor. hence why it taste sweet.

Same principle as drinking coffee after eating something sweet makes the coffee extra bitter.

The body as a whole, is dog shit in recognizing differences without reference and contrast.

The acid in your vomit can temporarily affect the way your taste buds perceive taste, along with the fact that the water is already going to taste better than the vomit, unless you are into that type of thing.
