Why Does Wet Denim Heat Up When You Rub It?

Please tell me I’m not the only one, but whenever i’m wearing tight jeans, and spill water in my lap, whenever I rub the wet region my palm kind of heats up. Am I weird? Are my jeans weird? if not why?? thanks!

Jeans aren’t a smooth surface so your skin vs the rough material of the jeans creates the heat. That’s called “friction”
