The wind passing by your ear can create turbulence that causes sudden changes in pressure.

You know how if you are driving fast in a car with just one window down you start hear a loud WOBWOBWOBWOBWOB kind of sound. Sometimes even feeling the pressure?

That same thing can happen in your ear.
