Why doesn’t it hurt to pee?

I’ve heard that when someone gets something done (medically) to their urethra, it hurts really bad. What I mean by that is when doctors have to put a camera up the urethra. If that’s the case, then how does peeing not hurt like hell, I mean, there’s fluid coming out really fast and there’s pressure there so? It might be a simple answer but I’m pretty dumb and have been wondering this for a while.

Edit: Yes I’m aware that this was a dumb question. As I mentioned to one guy who commented, I didn’t think this question through thoroughly as I got back from work before posting this and was exhausted (I still am honestly). If you don’t have an answer or anything nice to say, don’t say it, kindergarten shit people. Thank you.

I’ve had scopes up my urethra because of my kidney problem. They always gave me these tiny orange pills that were supposed to help ease the pain. They didn’t ease any pain. It burned like crazy, and all they did was turn my pee a bright orange.

Please consult the Frank Zappa song by the same title as your question. You will find the answers that you seek.

pee, is a fluid, which conforms to the shape of the urethra.
A camera is a non-fluid which means the urethra conforms to it.
Its the difference between wearing a sweater, and being worn as a sweater.

In my fluid mechanics class, when we learned about laminar and turbulent flow, my professor told us that our urethra evolved to a certain geometric ratio so as to maintain laminar flow. All animals, no matter how big, piss with laminar flow.

He also said that the reason why vomiting hurts is in part due to the flow being turbulent.

Real question you should be asking is why it doesn’t hurt to shit because fluids take the shape of their container and don’t really stress the urethra much l.
