I’m looking at my German shepherd right now, going totally nuts on this massive branch, it’s too larger for her to carry around but she chews on it like her life depends on it. why?

Don’t know the answer but we have an Australian Shepherd that collects sticks. The bigger the better. Hauls them all the way home. Sometimes he chooses small trees and is not happy when he has to give up because they’re too big.
