why don’t all scars go away if all cells are regenerated over time.

If all skin cells are regenerated every month or so. Why don’t scars go away. If not in a month then surely by a year all marks on skin should go away right. But some scars are permanent.

If you have severe scurvy the collagen in the scar can get reabsorbed for your desperate body to maintain collagen levels elsewhere causing the wound to “reopen”

This is usually when scurvy is already terminal though.
