Why every number to the power of 0 is equal to 1? 1.40K viewsJanuary 3, 2024 Question90.63K November 29, 2019 0 Comments I’m too dumb to get it In: Mathematics 31 Answers ActiveNewestOldest Anonymous Posted November 29, 2019 0 Comments x^n / x^m = x^(n-m) , right? That means that, for example, 2^2 / 2^2 = 2^(2-2) = 2^0 Since 2^2 / 2^2 = 4 / 4 = 1 Then 2^0 = 1 Another way to look at it is to go backwards. 2^4 = 16 2^3 = 8, or 16 / 2 2^2 = 4, or 8 / 2 2^1 = 2, or 4 / 2 2^0 = 1, or 2 / 2 Does that help?
